New Year -New Goals

As we embark on a new year, I'm excited about the possibilities that lie ahead in all aspects of my life.

New Life

In the coming weeks, I'll be welcoming another amazing grandchild into my family, which will give me the chance to introduce creativity and imagination into the life of another young child. My own children and grandchild are highly creative individuals, and I firmly believe that all children need ample time and space to create, play, imagine and simply get messy and have fun without constraint.

New Work

Creatively, I've been exploring some new textile-based artworks, feeling a strong pull towards working more with textiles, sculpture, and fiber.

Painting has Resurfaced

The joy of painting has also resurfaced after a bit of a hiatus. I prefer to approach my art and ideas with an open, organic flow rather than trying to control the process. As a free-spirited individual, I cherish my solitude but also relish the time I can spend with family and friends.

Goals for 2025

Looking ahead, I've jotted down a few personal goals for the year:

Be more mindful, create a life I truly love.

Dedicate more time to the activities and people I'm passionate about.

Specifically, I want to spend more quality time with family.

Make more art and creative projects.

Enter more awards and arts residencies.

More exhibitions.

Work on and maintain an inventory of my artworks

Start writing a memoir for my children and grandchildren.

Focus on my health and wellness.

Continue decluttering my home and studio in a step-by-step manner.

I also aim to socialize more and enjoy occasional outings and trips on my own and with my artistic community.
