A salute to some of my favourite artist's seen in Spain, the Catalan people and my friends in Barcelona, for their generosity, kindness and friendship, when living at the art center in Spain. Especially to my friend New York artist, Amy Ernst (granddaughter of Max Ernst), for your great company, interesting conversations, when painting together in Spain in 2005.
About the materials.
This painting has been created on strong, rigid panel.
My panels are coated with acid-free acrylic gesso.
The artwork is unframed and has no hanging hardware.
This makes it ideal for custom framing to your liking.
Your local framer will be able to create a custom frame for your artwork.
Painting on a rigid wooden board allows me, to build up rich layers of, marks, text and coloured glazes, without the surface collapsing, as when using a stretched canvas .
